I can go to youtube and find many vid’s on bbcodes that’s fine I’d prefer html but that’s not my beef…

…My problem is how to fallow stuff in the forums here? Just what does subscribing do?

Many years ago I frequented forms on Usenet and there were/are many programs that made it easy to ignore threads and see fallowed unread messages. (yes there was/is a LOT of un-moderated junk)

Are the “New posts…” in the right margin the best I can do?

Searching “askwoody.com” on youtube, well see for yourself.

All suggestions welcome as I’m newbie here.

    Thanks,

    TC

      Hello @TC,

The Home page (where you end up when you log in) is where Woody, and contributors approved by Woody may post. Changes in DEFCON level, for updating, will show up there.

Subscribing to a thread will send e-mail notification of a new post in that thread.

Going to Forums in the top bar may show you what forums are available, and you can browse through and/or subscribe to those that interest you. They are also listed at the bottom of the right side panel. Scrolling down the right side panel will give you options of seeing posts since you were last here, or most active posts, or other options you might be interested in.

If you are looking for a particular topic you can use Search the Lounge on the right side. If you want to ask a question, look for the appropriate section of the Support forum.

Regarding bbcodes, you are pretty much limited to the same functions that the reply boxes have at the top.

Hope that helps you get oriented here.
