    Hi,

I have experienced the following problem which I had hoped to find the reason for and a solution to prevent it happening:

Word does not use the setting in File location for User templates, i.e. where Word finds normal.dot.

This will occur on a machine connected to a network. It looks as it happens when the machine has been started without being able to find the normal.dot since the location where it is stored is not available. Then Word creates a new normal.dot, which is acceptable. But I would expect Word to follow the setting in File locations as soon as this location is available. But it does not, it locks to the normal.dot which is located under C:WindowsProfiles …

Any one who can give me an explanation and possibly a way to overcome this?

I appreciate it very much! Thanks!

    Regards
    Bjorn

      Hi,
Thanks a lot. I will tell our IT people and hope they can arrange the proper set up for Word on the network.

      Best regards
      Bjorn
