    Hi gang,
I set up a numbered list for sections. I want to underline everything. I have set up my style with underline, my numbering with underline but the tab spacing between the number and the text does not get underlined.
What do I have to tell Word?
    tks

Do you have Office XP SP3? If so, you can unzip the .reg file from the attached zip file, then open the .reg file. It will create the registry value described in WD2002: You Cannot Underline a Tab That Is in a Numbered List.
If Word was open when you opened the .reg file, you will have to restart it to see the effect.

Tks Hans. It worked perfectly on my computer. However, it did not work on other computer in my department. They all have SP3. Any idea why?
On another note, tech support is telling me that activing this key might conflict with something. Any experience of conflict when activiting this key?
        tks.

The registry entry is the only way I know to activate underlining of the tab that follows numbering. I have no idea why it wouldn’t work on some PCs. The only conflict I can think of is that the network administrator has installed a group policy that turns off the setting.
