I heard that there is away in Outlook 2010 just to list the unread emial in a folder – Anyone know how to do this?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerFebruary 17, 2015 at 10:15 am #1490630‘Search Folders’ is an even faster way. It is a powerful feature that is often under utilized. Not only can it show you all your unread mail broken down by folders, I use it all the time to show me emails with attachments, or with large attachments. Right click on Search Folders and build your own custom searches!
Cheers.

AskWoody LoungerJuly 12, 2015 at 7:20 am #1514841Outlook Search folders allow you to create virtual custom folders to suit your specific needs
As far as your question goes, you might define a search folder to list any unread emails in all folders.
My personal favorites selection includes several key search folders:
Unread mail (unread emails across all folders)
All mail (all emails across all folders)
Open Tasks (flagged mail across all folders)
Knowledge base (knowledge base flagged across all folders)Using search folders, I can categorize and file mail as it is received while maintaining the ability to view frequently used customized mail selections with a single click on the folder pane.
