I have a very annoying Windows problem that I can not find a “turn this off” switch.

I’ll be working away in an app when suddenly a display of all open Window apps appears in the middle of my screen. I can sometimes click on the app behind and continue, but other times it takes a lot of work to get rid of it.

I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 2004, OS Build 19041.804.

I also have the Experience Pack “Windows Feature Experience Pack 0120.2212.551.0” showing up.

Can anyone tell me how to stop this?

    Gerry.

Is it the Windows key + Tab (Task View) experience? (Try that to see if it looks the same.)

How to use Task View features on Windows 10

If not, please describe more fully or post a screenshot.

Not the same. The display is dead center on the screen and has all open windows in a neat rectangle.

I might have narrowed the problem to the mouse I was using – a logitech M720. When I switched over to an old M310 the problem seems to have stopped.

I will be downloading new driver for the M720 and try again later.

If there is a manual to read or it may be that by trial and error, design or driver configuration that one (or combination) of the mouse buttons is configured to act as ALT+TAB.

Do any of the button feel stuck in closed position?

I just realized you said, “in the middle of the screen”, which sounds more like the Alt + Tab experience.

But that should go away as soon as the Alt key is released.

So I think it’s possible you have a sticky Alt key on that keyboard.

Next time, try tapping Alt to see if it will release.

Thanks for the advice. I hope I have eliminated it via the different mouse.
