    Hello all,
I would like to use an Excel sheet to run a macro that will update the paths of all linked tables of all the word documents in a given folder.
I have seen how to check what the code is of a linked table, but how do I change the path in this code and update the word doc?

    Thanks for your replies.

      Hi siflaar,

To do this from Excel, you have to start Word (if it’s not already running), then open each document. From there, it’s a matter of using code like that attached to http://lounge.windowssecrets.com/index.php?showtopic=670027 to update the link paths. That code shows how you can change the link paths in the links.

        Hello Paul,

Even after searching and reading al lot of posts, I did not find this one.
So thanks for pointing me to it. It seems in de code is enough information for me to create my own code.

        greetings,

Hello all! The link that Paul posted no longer works. I need to do a very similar thing – updating the paths of all linked tables in a Word document. I was unsuccessful in searching around the Lounge for the thread. Would Paul, Patrick, or someone else be able to point me to the post? A full post detailing my problem is here. Thanks!
