Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
I have inherited a laptop with Windows 2000 on it and I want to upgrade to XP. The home edition of XP lists Win 98 or ME as the version it will upgrade from. Has anyone sucessfully upgraded a Win 2K to XP home or do I need to go to XP pro? I’d rather not spend the extra $100 if I can avoid it – I probably don’t need the extra bells and whistles that pro will give me.
Any thoughts?
