hello, I am reasonably new here and not computer sassy. I.e. I do not know most spacial expressions, so please bare with me.

recently MS wanted to do an UG overnight.

next morning I had to sign in and ohhhhh , wrong PW. I had my PW correct and whatever i tried …wrong PW. so I changed it and was able to sign in to the PC.

next day MS cam back with: we could not complete the UG and set your PC back to what it was. Please restart your machine.

so I did… and again wrong password! just changed it the day before and the same thing went on for days….

MS tech help was: you have either Malware or a Virus. so????? and they sent 5 pages of what to do out of their manual. However, Tech wrote he has never seen this and suggetsed a hard reset to be sure…. I am using Malwarebites paid.

Somehow I think that this is the easy way out for them???

has anyone experienced this before and IF yes, how can it be fixed?

    thank you all

    HHB

Is this a password or is it asking for a PIN?

What exact build/release are you on?
