this is a challenging one:
I used Norton Ghost 11 to copy my hard disk to another disk.
the original machine was HP with Windows XP,SP3.
now when i used this disk on another machine (PCS) and booted from it
i had to re-activate my windows, which i did and everything was working perfectly fine!!
but one..
i noticed that USB ports are not working, further i saw that the drivers for the USB controllers were not installed!!
now i had another similar PCS machine,i backed up the USB controller drivers from there
and tried to install but no success.i even downloaded them from intel site but still no success in installing them.
on installing it gives the following message:
“there was a problem installing the hardware-USB Controller.
the driver installation file for this device is missing a neccessary entry.this may be beacause the INF was
written for windows 95 or later.contact your hardware vendor”
the device type is USB Controller.
