I have a standard USB keyboard with white LEDs behind each key for use in low light or pitch dark if necessary – a Logitech G413. Trouble is when the PC is woken from sleep or a random event, mousing works (using a different USB port) so that I can display the login screen, but the USB port connected to the keyboard is off so I can’t enter a password. I can tell this when the keyboard lights are off.
Unplugging the USB keyboard connector and plugging it into a different port (I have 6 USB2 jacks and 4 USB3 jacks) restores the keyboard so that I can login.
