I bought an external hard drive to use for backing up a large My Doc file that is entirely Word Perfect files. I installed the USB hard drive and XP recognized it as e:. I went to e: and set up a new briefcase then drag and dropped the file. It transferred and I verified the e: had a copy of the c: drive files. I set up a shortcut to the briefcase on my desktop. When I right click the shortcut and select Update All, it copies the entire file all over again, nearly an hour. My intent was for it to incrementally update only those additions/changes/deletions made since the last update. Where did I go wrong?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

AskWoody LoungerNovember 6, 2003 at 12:39 pm #740491I set up a folder outside on c: for Word Perfect files. I did the drag and drop on this work product folder that is substantial in size, about 850 mb. It has 50-60 folders with up to a 100 individual docs per folder. I had thought if I moved this to a briefcase, when I did Update All, only the documents that had been changed would be sync’d between the c: docs and the e: external drive.
