When I click on the BACK button on a web page, it does not retain the information I entered on it. The website folks are telling me it is a computer issue, but I don’t know what the problem is. Example: I type in a name and address on a page, go to the next page. I need to make a change to the previously entered info so I use the back button to edit, but the information I entered is not there and I have to redo it all. Any suggestions?

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

I would contact the webmaster or some one from that site and ask how one corrects errors made on the in put forms.

AskWoody LoungerDecember 2, 2004 at 8:15 pm #908109Take a look at your cache (Temporary Internet Files) settings. On this Lounge, we recommend refreshing on every visit to a page, but if you prefer not to always refresh — which might be the problem with the other site — try the radio button that says “Automatic.” (Sorry this is cryptic, but I’m using Firefox so I can’t just pop open IE’s Tools>Internet Options… dialog at the moment.)
