Using Lotus Notes as e-mail (5.5)

I am using Lotus Notes for mail. I IE, I should be able to select “Tools, Internet Options, Programs” and then drop down the selection box beside e-mail to choose Lotus Notes. I had this set up on my old PC, but the opiton is not available since I upgraded PC’s. How do I get the option “Lotus Notes” option to be available for selection? Thanks.

Are you looking to have Lotus Notes come up when you click on an ’email to’ link?

Try:

Explorer > Tools > Folder Options >
Sort on ‘File Types’
Find ‘URL:MailTo Protocol’
> Advanced > Edit >
Copy the entry in the field “Application used to perform action” to something like Notepad in case it doesn’t work and you can go back! >
then Browse and select the program of your choice – i.e. Lotus
