Using Panda Dome on Win 7 pro

I really would like to continue using my Dell Studio XPS desktop and Win 7 Professional but its hard to find an antivirus package for it -last one I used was McAfee. Everybody seems to be declaring ‘ no longer supported’. I switch my computer off when not needed and manually use MSE  which I update the files and run a Quick scan each time  I restart the machine. In today’s environment I would like something stronger. Weekly I run Trend Micro House Call as a second check.

I use Yahoo free and the other day it threw up an ad for reduced prices on Panda Dome. I checked it out and they claim its OK for Windows 7 even Windows XP SP3.

Any body out there have experience with Panda Dome or can suggest alternatives?

Panda Dome will work well on a Windows 7 system; I use it on a couple of Vista machines and have not run into any issues.

If you’re looking to broaden your search for alternatives, my experience with both Bitdefender and Norton 360 on Windows 7 computers has been good, and they still work.

 

Keep Running Windows 7 Safely for Years to Come  
Make Windows 10 look and work like Windows 7

Susan -Thanks, but if $329 is typical price for fire walls I guess they are beyond my Canadian pension and at 82 yrs old probably way beyond my computer skills anyway.

My Windows 7 Home Premium, SP1 came with its own Firewall.  Is this not considered up to the task or whatever?  My DSL modem/router also has a firewall, so I’ve got two of them.

Being 20 something in the 70's was far more fun than being 70 something in the insane 20's
