How do you place a subform, or any control for that matter, on the Microsoft tabstrip control? I can’t believe I couldn’t find any help on this subject. Must be super easy?
Thanks for any help.

Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Yes it is. First, make sure the tab page you want is the one "on top". To place a new control on the tab, just left click and hold down the control you want in the toolbox, then drag it to the tab page. When the cursor gets to the tabpage, the background will turn dark, so you know you are on it. Then just release the mouse button.
To move an existing control requires a slightly different technique. Select the control you want to move, then use Ctl-X to delete the control at existing location and move it to clipboard. The select the tabpage you want, and use Ctl-V to copy the control from clipboard to the tabpage.

I’m not sure I was absolutely clear. Maybe I should have said the “ActiveX” Microsoft Tabstrip Control 6.0. If you are in fact speaking of the activex control than I’m having major problems here, cause cut and pasting and dragging a form from the database window onto it doesn’t work. Let me know when you get a chance. THanks for your time.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 13, 2002 at 12:53 pm #576018Why are you using an activeX control instead of the built-in tab control in Access? Access uses a different set of forms and controls than the rest of Office or VB. You can’t mix and match. The built-in tab control gives you everything you need in Access and has the added advantage of not having any licensing issues.

AskWoody LoungerMarch 13, 2002 at 6:01 pm #576099I was thinking about using the activex tab control because you can place the tabs on the sides and bottom. I just ran into a situation where I thought it would look better to have the tabs on the bottom and the tab control would fit better on the form that way. I wasn’t sure how much was involved with using the activex control over the built-in tab control. If they both worked the same I would have gone with it in a heartbeat, but I guess I will just have to settle with what I’ve got. No biggy.
Thanks for the help Charlotte,
Don
