I developed some templates for a law firm many years ago. They wanted the templates updated for Office 2016 (and a few changes.) I finished it and sent them back for testing. They tested fine for me and I also have Office 2016. On their end, with one procedure in particular, they get this error message.
I do not get this error when testing from my side. They do not always get it on their side. I know what is causing it, also. These are pleading signature lines. IF they add a Certificate of service, after adding the COS, the document is re-protected so they can tab through the fields and complete the options. The Re-Protecting is what is erroring out.
Can anyone help with WHY it might be doing this? Why wouldn’t it happen ALL the time on either their site or mine?
