Can anyone recommend a web site that would help me explain the difference between Visual Basic and Visual Basic for Applications to someone who is not a developer?

    Thank you ANY help.

VB and VBA share the same programming language.

VB comes with a compiler that lets you create a stand-alone application (.exe) from your code that can be run independently of other programs. (You can also create other types of executable files such as DLL files and ActiveX controls but that is more technical)

The code you write in VBA is always used within an existing application such as Word or Excel.

See VBA vs VB for more info.
