Computer has been running super slow for a while. Finally found out about Windows Resource Monitor, which showed that vds.exe is hogging the CPU.
– Under “Associated Handles,” most of the handle names are PID 4808, Type “Section”, Handle Name BaseNamedObjectsNamedBuffer, mAH, Process $000012c8, API $0000000077xxxxxx
– Under “Associated Modules,” some of them are in C:Windowssystem32, and others are in C:WindowsSystem32, and a few are in C:WindowsSYSTEM32. But in Explorer, the only folder shown is System32.
Tried googling for an answer, but what I found was either unhelpful or way too advanced for me.
Any advice on how to address? And any idea why Resource monitor would be showing folders with different upper- and lower-case spelling (system/System/SYSTEM)? Is that a clue?
Thanks
