I have a workbook with 12 monthly sheets and 1 total sheet.

I would like to be able to view one of the monthly sheets at the same time as the total sheet.

    Can anyone help? confused

      Colin,

      Open the workbook.
From the menu Select Window | New Window
Then from the Window menu Select Compare Side by side.
If you only see one workbook, make sure it is not set to Maximum size.
This works on Excel 2003 and I think it works on Excel 2000 as well.

Unfortunately, in Excel 2000 you don’t get the option to Compare Side by Side. sad

      Alternatively:
      – Activate a monthly sheet.
      – Select Window | New Window.
      – Activate the total sheet in the new window.
      – Select Window | All Windows…
      – Tick the “Windows in active workbook” check box.
      – Select the option you prefer (horizontal or vertical)
      – Click OK.

Thanks Hans, that did the trick. I figured it had something to do with “Windows in active Workbook” but I couldn’t figure out the sequence. groovin
