Recently Internet Explorer V5 stopped automatically displaying the Status Bar. Now every time I start Internet Explorer if I want the Status Bar I have to open the View menu and click on the Status Bar. Does anyone know what happened, and what I can do to get the Status Bar to STAY ON.

Thanks in advance for your help,

    Rod

I tried the (1) suggestion and it did solve my problem regarding keeping the Status Bar in view and I am thankful for the ease in which this problem was solved. I’m sure I would have never figured this out myself.

So I am now a fan of the WOPR Lounge and must give a big thanks to RIL.

        Hi RIL:
Thank you very much for this tip. I had the problem for a long time (with IE 5.5, so there’s no upgrade) & could never find the answer. I tried everything, even editing the registry. Ocassionally, it would correct itself, then crop up again. Now, I’ve got a solution.

        Thanks again.
