My client with OfficeXP is new to Comments. She can’t see an option for printing Comments as I can in Word 2000. It seems she has every Print Option I have except that one. And she is currently viewing them by selecting Edit Comment. There’s gotta be an easier way. Can anyone suggest what settings she needs to change?

AskWoody LoungerAugust 5, 2003 at 1:17 pm #699885Word 2002 uses balloons to display comments; you must be in Print Preview layout to see them. In Normal view, you can use the Reviewing pane to see/edit comments.
The Reviewing toolbar contains several buttons connected with viewing comments:
– The “Display for Review” dropdown list must be set to one of the “… Showing Markup” options.
– Comments must be checked in the “Show” dropdown list. The “Print What” dropdown list in the File | Print… dialog determines what is printed:
– Document with Markup: document with comments and changes
– Document: document without comments or changes
– List of Markup: comments and changes only. -

Hans, In Word 2003, it won’t let me edit comments when I click into the reviewing pane when I’m in Print layout view or normal view. do you know how come?
This is when I don’t want the ballons and i want to edit in the reviewing pane.
