A friend sporadically gets the following error message (with a BSOD)
Filename: VMM(01) + 0000DC96 Error: OE: 0028: C000EC96
Then the message says click any key and the computer basically freezes and needs to be shut down improperly. He is running WIN ME on a Compaq Presario 5000.
The problem seems to have come about since his grandkids were visiting and “using” the computer.
