Where do synchronized files go?

Hello!

I’ve been playing around with IE 5.5 and Synchronize to make sure I’ve got backups of some sites I need to demo at an exhibition (contingency planning incase the live link fails!). Was also intending to cut a CD of the offline versions of the sites, but can’t find the files anywhere!?
Any ideas where they are?

Not exactly sure where they go in IE v? but for example in win2k they are encrypted on hard drive so they are not accessible except through means other than ‘virtual drive letters’ or network places (neighborhood).

One like place would be in the temporary internet files. You can check this by synchronizing and then disconnecting from Internet/Intranet and then trying to browse site. Once you pull up the site you should be able to do a File–>Save As and it may show you the location that it came from.

Not for sure, but worth a shot

If you are looking for a software title that “strips” a site, you can try Webstripper. I have been using this for about 1 1/2 years but remember, while it is customizable, it may pull down alot more of a site than you want.
