Where is Thunderbird Address Book stored?

I may have to rebuild my system following a crash and the notebook recovery disks will delete everything from my system partition.

How can I save a copy of the Thunderbird Address Book to keep all my email contacts?

Your email and address books will be under the “profiles” folder. Copy the whole profiles folder and you’ll have everything. The address books are .mab files.

To find the location of your profiles folder, open T-bird -> Tools -> Account Settings. Under “Server Settings” for each acct in the left pane, read the “Local directory:” in the right pane.
