Running Win 10 Pro v. 2004 and have recently installed the free version of Macrium Reflect v. 7.3 and on first setup first image went well (the first image was manual). I then scheduled the Macrium backup to run first Sunday each month at 2:00 AM, and set it to differential 7 days a week to run at 3:00 AM.

Neither the monthly nor the differential run at scheduled times. They run only when I first enter my password to open Windows. What am I missing?

I would have thought that if you have not yet entered your password (and username?) to open Windows, then Windows is not yet running.   Macrium runs as a program under Windows.  When Windows starts, the scheduled tasks are seen as overdue and start.

Thanks for your response. Let me clarify the situation for you as I completely forgot to include some information. We have 2 computers running Win 10 Pro v. 2004 and Macrium Reflect v. 7.3. Macrium is scheduled to run using the same approach on both machines. One performs appropriately as scheduled and mine does not. On a comparison of the scheduling setup there appears to be no difference between the two. Hope that helps figure out what I am missing.

MR uses Windows Task Scheduler for scheduling.
Open Task Scheduler and check that the tasks are set the same on both machines.

      cheers, Paul

As your version of Macrium Free doesn’t use the Windows Scheduler by default, have a look in the Reflect Defaults > Schedule options to see what is currently set as the default and do you see options to include a Password to allow the schedule to run.

Thank you. I was set to use MR Task Scheduler but had not unchecked system and entered password. That I have now changed and will likely soon see that it’s the thing I was missing. The other Win 10 v. 2004 computer is using the Windows Task Scheduler and appropriately had the system checkbox ticked.
