Hope you can assist with this question:

Within network settings I see my laptop and gateway router.

However, if I go to Network using FILE EXPLORER, I see multiple entries of the gateway router. I also see a hidden network on the available networks in which I am presuming is mine since I have the private network setting for WIFI but don’t use it.

What would cause the multiple appearances of the gateway router? Is the laptop pinging the router? Is it a driver issue? Router issue? I don’t see it when I click in CONTROL PANEL, just when I use and click on FILE EXPLORER. Could it be cache that did not clear?

Your router should not show up unless it is acting as a file server / multimedia device. Do you have a disk plugged into it?
I have a TV that can show up more than once so it’s probably some network protocol not defined / implemented properly.

If you use the router to share files you need to make sure you have changed the admin password and don’t allow external access.

      cheers, Paul
