Insufficient information.  What version of Windows is it, and what were you doing when the errors occurred?  If trying to download or install updates, which ones?  (Give KB numbers.)

If you put that error code into a search engine, you will get several hits.

      Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 20H2

Running Windows 10, version 1909, OS build 18363.628 running with AMD Ryzen processor

        Thanks

Apparently MS suggest uninstalling KB4056892. Do you have that update installed?

      cheers, Paul

p.s. you can post a screenshot by using Windows Snipping Tools, saving as PNG, then attaching the PNG. Saves us downloading a doc to view.

        The Catalog lists KB4056892 as the 2018-01 CU for Win10 1709 (1/3&4/2018).
Is that the KB you intended for 1909?

KB4056892 does not seem to be installed … what to do next?

          Thanks

      Check the Windows file system.

      1. Run a Command Prompt as admin. (Win R, cmd, Ctrl Shift Enter)
      2. Type: sfc /scannow
      3. If you get errors that can’t be fixed, type: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
      4. Assuming errors are fixed, re-run step 2.
      5. Reboot and try the updates again.

      cheers, Paul

I ran sfc /scannow several times over the past weeks of so. Always get the same message – “Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations”

You do not appear to be the OP, so are you having the same problems?

          cheers, Paul

          • #2261402

Not sure what you mean by not being the OP (what is that?) but, yes, problems remain unabated, with new updates also not working

            Thnaks

Can you post a screenshot of the updates installed (update history) so we can see what updates are problematic?

Use Windows snipping tool, save as PNG, click the “Select File” button under your reply (you must be logged in).

      cheers, Paul

    • #2261745

      Here you go – thanks

Pretty much all updates have errors so it seems likely Windows Update needs to be reset.

      Try the method mentioned here.

      cheers, Paul

same story … may old updates failed see attached. Next setp?

Backup and reinstall Windows. Your choice to keep apps and data or do a clean install.

      cheers, Paul

Is there a newer update on that 2017 script/batch file?

      Thanks

      • #2262800

        What script?

        cheers, Paul

p.s. please only post screenshots as PNG, not DOC.

        • #2262866

the ‘tip’ saved as a .BAT file noted in you response on May 13, 2020 at 4:04 am is what I ran and got down my update failures to only two now – see attached

          Thanks

That’s what I thought, but wanted to confirm.

There is no update to those commands, they are the recognised method of resetting updates.
Assuming those commands succeeded then I am out of suggestions.

            cheers, Paul
