    Hiya,

Recently installed 11 Pro on an ‘unsupported’ laptop with great success, updates too.

Have set to notify in Group Policy.

My question is do I continue to use WuMgr to perform the updating at the end of the month OR perform the update via the Windows Update page under Settings where it gives you more control of what patch you want to ‘Download & Instal’
I see no need for WuMgr in this situation, definitely needed for Home patching.
What mechanism do you good people use?

    Cheers

I really like WUmgr because it checks for updates when I want and gives me full control over what is installed. No need to delve into Group Policy and then try to remember what you set.

      cheers, Paul

So all your GP settings are ‘unconfigured’ Paul?

        Cheers

Don’t run Pro these days. The $100 went on a backup disk.  🙂

          cheers, Paul

Yeah, I too run WuMgr on two other Win10 Home laptops. Good, nice and easy tool.

On Win11 Pro laptop, just experimenting.  👍

            Cheers

Those choices to download individual updates (or not) don’t HIDE the updates you do not choose to download/install (that I am aware of).

Question is, do you trust MS if you leave it hanging out there unhidden? 🙂
