As mentioned in the blog post, Microsoft will be shutting down the Beta Channel for Windows 10: https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2024/11/14/releasing-windows-10-build-19045-5194-to-beta-and-release-preview-channels/

Insiders on Windows 10 in the Beta Channel will be moved over to the Release Preview Channel, and we will continue to release builds for Windows 10 in the Release Preview Channel only going forward.

Now, do I need to stay in the program, or can I just opt out and leave the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” toggle ON to get Release Preview builds? Is this the same, or staying in the RP Channel gives any additional benefits?

If I recall, “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” allows you to receive “dribbled” features more quickly. But you won’t get updates before their release date, as you would on the Release Preview channel.
