Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC got offered a feature update to 1903

Strange things happens to systems with Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC installed. This is the SKU that shall not receive Feature Updates at all – Microsoft releases all 2 – 3 years a new build, that may be installed from admins.

Now users of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2016 (V1607) and 2019 (V1809) got offered a feature update to Windows 10 V1903. Ok, that thing isn’t installable, but it’s scary – a proof, that Microsoft lost control over the development process. A bug in Microsoft UUP is causing that effect.

I know now 3 cases – anybody else have had this behavior?

It’s actually happen in LTSC 2019 (1809) only

Hm, a German reader reported, that he has been offered the feature update also on 1607 (LTSC).

I highly doubt it, but anything is expected with W10

in my recent tests on v1607 (Pro and regular Enterprise), they got v1809 as feature update, no sign of v1903

v1607 still work with the traditional ESD upgrades, since it lack UUP
