    Hi there

My current desktop PC is running Windows 7 SP1. Iโ€™m tossing around the idea of an upgrade with some new hardware and using existing.

Iโ€™m a complete newbie when it comes to Windows 10. I read quite often on this forum the various issues that Windows 10 has, but at the sane time it would appear itโ€™s becoming more stable as time progresses.

So my question is, which build of Windows 10 is the most stable. As I said Iโ€™m completely ignorant about W10 but I assume that when I ask about which build Iโ€™m comparing that to my Windows 7 SP1.
Or am I completely off course

On my W7 PC Iโ€™m running Outlook 2010. Which current version ย of Outlook would be stable to run with Windows 10 ?

Thank you in advance for your replies and your patience in answering my questions.

    cheers

Windows 10 is not unstable. Sometimes updates cause problems, mostly they don’t.

What hardware do you have and what are you considering replacing? We have a few hardware gurus here.

As I’m sure you’re aware, Office 2010 will reach EOL in just a few months.

If you really want to continue using Outlook, Microsoft currently offers two basic options:
      1) Microsoft 365
      2) Microsoft Office Home & Business 2019

See this link for more info.

      Hope this helps.

MS 365 editions are subscription based > Microsoft 365 Personal & Microsoft 365 Family are available editions and are not permanent
Office Home & Business 2019 is much more expensive than Microsoft 365 but needs a one time payment & would be permanent

So my question is, which build of Windows 10 is the most stable.

      Right now, 1909…

From It’s Patch Tuesday; make sure you pause Windows Updates by Woody on July 13th.

If youโ€™re using Win10 1803 or 1809, I strongly urge you to move on to Win10 version 1909.
