Recently my old Dell cpu died, couldn’t get it to boot anymore. I had a spare HP that was 1 year newer, similar in processor speed, etc. (not as good a video card though) that I moved the hard drive into. Computer booted up fine, found the necessary drivers, etc., but is asking for me to activate it again. I have the 3 user license version of Win 7 Home premium (all 3 in use), and the Microsoft Automated Activation tools won’t allow me to re-activate it.
I don’t want to rebuild the machine from scratch unless I have to, especially if I spend a few hours and it still won’t activate. The “dial-in” activation tool doesn’t send me to a live operator to help fix the problem and I’m in Canada, and having trouble finding a phone number.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
