I have four SSD drives in striped RAID configuration. HDTUNE indicates seqential reads of about 700 MB/s. Burst rate is 4 GB/s. Seek time is only 0.2 ms.

Yet WEI rates the RAID volume as only 7.8. Three drives get me 7.7 and two 7.4. What do I need to do to get to 7.9, or is this number considered impossible to achieve?

My guess is that 7.9 is basically impossible to achieve. Certainly, the difference between 7.7 and 7.9 is imperceptible.

How do you like your RAID SSDs? Sounds like a VERY hot setup…
