    Hi All,

    Computer > Local Disk ( C: ) > Properties > Security

    under Group and User names, besides Permissions for Administrators ( name )

    and Users ( name ) Users

    there’s an Entry wit FULL CONTROL PERMISSIONS for a ‘ System ‘ Entry !

    is this entry LEGITIMATE , is my question???

    Thanks for any help as this is very important!

      That entry is legitimate, in my opinion.  If the “system” does not have full control to modify files and folders, then it cannot function properly.  For example, it would not be able to apply changes contained in an update.

      It certainly is legitimate! Without it, Windows itself would have limited or no access to [the root of] the drive.
      Note that users in the Administrators group also have full permissions.
      But if you are concerned that someone may (try to) log on as ‘System’, it cannot be done. ‘System’ is a reserved user-id.
