A problem with the mouse. Or at least it manifests with the mouse. The problem is that the mouse, when moving is very sluggish. It appears to stick momentarily at points
along the line of movement. Also if I let go and don’t touch the mouse the pointer/cursor moves by itself for 2 to 3 seconds. The problem is very obvious when playing Solitaire but also
many other applicatoins and most Windows activities.

It is difficult to click on links since the mouse moves slightly without my control.

I suspected a virus but I ran a full scan of the PC and found no viruses. My antivirus subscription is current and up to date.

I tried uninstalling the mouse and then reinstalling it. This had no effect on this problem.
I want to refresh the mouse drivers but I assume that uninstalling and installing the mouse would accomplish that.

The following mouse drivers are present
    C:WindowsSystem32Driversklmouflt.sys
    C:WindowsSystem32Driversmouclass.sys
    C:WindowsSystem32Driversmouhid.sys

Of the above 3 drivers, the first one, klmouflt.sys, is owned and provided by my antivirus company.
The other two drivers are Microsoft.

I don’t know what the antivirus company is doing with a mouse driver but I have subscribed to that antivirus company for 4 or 5 years and this mouse problem just started 1 week ago.

Anyone know what is causing this?
