between hackers try to use the vulnerabilities of windows 7
and microsoft try to basically kill windows 7 with bad updates
it’s really worth the risk to use windows 7 in 2017?

Sometimes it seems that things are uncertain in that regard.  However, one can persevere on Win 7 as many here have attested to.

An alternative would be to consider Win 8.  Here is something to assist with further research.

Here’s a link to Win 8.1. This is a reputable seller that I’ve done business with. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832397788

Additionally, here is a nifty program that came pre-loaded on my laptop when I bought it four years ago. http://www.iobit.com/update/startmenu8/index.php

Win 8.1 has been very good to me. I don’t notice much difference between it & Win 7, so I would encourage anyone to give it a try.

Another alternative might be a different OS like Apple, Google Chromebook or Linux.  Discussions about them may be found here.

Plenty more to learn, good luck with your adventure.

My thinking is that MS has very hurt feelings and pocketbook over Win 10.  They are paying out more than any OS has cost to produce.  They have found that Win 10 at a 33% of computers and Window 7 at 51% of computers is loosing them a tremendous amount of money. The trash patches on Win 10 are about the same amount that is on Windows 7.

microsoft try to basically kill windows 7 with bad updates

Pardon my cynicism, but I don’t think MS are only aiming that affliction at Win7… the bad updates are much broader than just one OS, aren’t they?!
      😉

        Oh yes they do
I encourage you to do your own research on that specific topic
because is no brainer MS is doing it

Your video doesen’t give any case that Win7 updates are the only OS variety that strike problems that I can find, and refers a lot to the new hardware issues discussed here in recent months.

There have been various issues with what was referred to as “bad updates” in other OS, such as:

ok first off that video have nothing to do to prove my previous point
that guy in the video have just a no brainer opinion
and many people agree with it obviously you’re not one of them
            and that is fine..!!!
            second;
then why you worry soo much which windows 7 updates
you should or you shouldn’t install ?
            and third
I’m not an anti microsoft I’m been using their products since 1980 to present
including all the windows 10 build since windows 10 was released
and is a fact that windows 10 is a disaster by any means
            so historically speaking microsoft
ALWAYS is handicapping on purpose the previous OS for obvious reasons
it’s not a conspiracy theory capisci?!! no eh?~! ok whatever…!!!!
Now microsoft is more aggressive with that method
because they want everyone to use windows 10
unfortunately for microsoft is not going to happen
because windows 10 has become an unfixable problem

I hesitate to ascribe actions to maliciousness when a much simpler explanation suffices.

Microsoft isn’t putting enough effort/money into maintaining its products. We’re seeing the effects across the board – Windows 7, yes, but also Win 10, Office of various versions, Surface, Skype, and many more.

It’s not just Microsoft. iOS is having problems, as is macOS. Even Android, to a lesser degree, although ChromeOS seems quite stable.

As the programs (and products) get more complex, it’s getting harder to keep them going.

.Window 7 is WELL WORTH THE RISK!!!  Windows 7 is (if cautiously) security patched only,  the worthiest and best  Windows platform that has ever been put out for public use.  Every part of this platform was easy and  non-complicated to use and was highly functional for every aspect of life on the computer.  Now it has a shorter life, according to MS, but seemly will be functional for most uses until 2022-23.  We will just have to wait, use and see. The crippled new OS, Windows 10 will never command the uses that Windows 7 has.  I am afraid that 2022 will be the year that MS (windows) ceases.  This is my own opinion only..

the end extended support for windows 10 is set it up for October 14,2025
so if you’re planning to hang on windows 7 until 2022
and then upgrade to windows 10
don’t even bother since 3 years later
you will need to find a new OS

Windows 7 EOL is in 2020, not 2022.
