Windows explorer – Recycle bin date columns won’t sort

Just recently I noticed that I couldn’t sort the Recycle bin contents by date fields. Fields like Date modified do not sort, see the attachment. The exception to this is Date deleted, which does sort properly.
Any idea why this is, and how to fix it?

Thanks for the suggestion, BruceR. Group by is turned off. I tried turning it on and off for, for both Date Deleted and Date Modified, but there is no change to the behaviour. Date deleted sorts correctly, Date modified does not.
