The programmers at Microsoft have not yet had the foresight to develop a Windows macro system which opens up 2 or 3 Office applications and within each application perform nested macros. These nested macros could then do their work and transfer control back to the Windows master macro which would run its course and automatically end. A master Windows macro could be started by assigning it to a function key (for instance F6).
I still use DOS batch files for this kind of work processing and assign these batch files to start Office 2013 applications automatically (based on date and time attributes). Microsoft has yet to develop a modern high workload master Windows macro system since it concentrates on mostly selling its products to new and relatively inexperienced users.
Can anyone remember the old JCL (Job Control Language) from the days of Cobol and assembly Language Processing ??
