Windows Management Console Has Stopped Workıng !

Hi All,

For the past several days,when ı rıght clıck on  ‘Computer ‘ on my desktop, ‘Manage ‘ and ‘Classıc Event Vıewer ‘ ı get  ‘ Wındows Management Console Has Stopped Workıng ‘..

In Servıces ‘  Dıagnostıc System Host Propertıes – Local Computer ) Start Type ıs on  ‘automatıc ‘ but  Servıce Status says ‘ stopped ‘and re startıng ıt doesn’t work,NOR restartıng PC.

Everythıng else lıke Devıce Manager, MsConfıg,Registry Edıtor etc open and work,no problem.

No vıruses present,system stable…

Just  ‘ Manage and ‘Classıc Event Vıewer will NOT open..AND In Servıces ‘  Dıagnostıc System Host Propertıes ( Local Computer ) won’t start.

Any suggestıons wıth step by step ınstructıon thanks !

Classic Event Viewer is not standard, so you may need to re-register it:

If you are speaking of the Microsoft Management Console, to access it open a command prompt and type MMC [enter].

Yes,i suspected this might be it

i had done that shortly before the problem arose,

And after Woody gave the ok to update for this month,

i did so again 2 days ago and wonder of wonders

yesterday the problem went away all by itself.

So everything is back in order now.
