I had a alert pop up on my new Lenovo laptop:

    Under Heading: Maintenance:

    “Finish installing device software”

“One or more devices connected to your PC needs additional software to work properly.”

I clicked “start maintenance” after a period of time it seemed like it was done. How can I tell what was installed or done?

    Should I turn this off?

I then checked my other laptop, a HP and noticed the same thing??

Any help, advice would be great. Not sure where to put this question??

    Thanks

      TJ,

Most likely drivers for some device. Take a look at Device Manager for any yellow question marks.

      RG,

I did look at Device Manager, and saw no yellow question marks. Should I allow windows to install?

      RG,

I had already allowed windows to install on my Lenovo. Is there a place to see what windows fixed/downloaded/installed??

On my HP laptop, I haven’t hit the install button yet, not sure what to do?? I looked at the “Reliability Monitor” and noticed I have a lot of “HP Simple Pass” not functioning correctly. I don’t use HP simple pass, never have. Wondering if I should just uninstall it?

      Thanks,

      TJ
