windows update kb5015713 net4.7.2 not availible

For  1809/Server 2019 Susan shows this .net update but  microsoft catalog does not have it.

I probably got my eyes crossed  I flip flopped the 5 and the 7 sorry about that.

On 1809 the .net update is just in the core OS, there’s no separate .net patch.

Thank you for providing the above info, Susan.

As someone who has only ever wanted to install the the applicable security as opposed to feature updates of .NET, I have always found these updates to be made unnecessarily complicated and confusing on the part of Microsoft.

It’s nice to see they have now provided a clear and concise explanation for the September updates so that users can know exactly what they need to do in order have them installed.

Hopefully, Microsoft will continue this clarity moving forward.

nope.

1809 LTSC 2019 do have separate .NET updates for .NET 4.7.2 in Sept 2022 – KB5017270 (this one is a preview update)
KB5016713 (was a preview update in late August 2022 but became official/non-preview update in early September 2022)
{do NOT install nor use these patches if .NET 4.8 is installed}

what OP (69800) should be looking for is KB5016713, not KB5015713
