I have a pentium II running windows 98. I installed a 10t100 card in preparation for a DSL modem. I have not installed this yet and can no longer access my ISP. I get a connection but there is an error message that reads “534 Windows/System Wscock32.dll missing or wrong version”. I also see a message that says “mcupdate.exe is also using dialup”.
What I want to be able to do is to continue using my dial up access to my existing ISP until I can establish a DSL connection with my new service provider.

    Thanks for your help.

It sounds like the NIC reset your connection settings.

      Try this:

      Control Panel / Internet Options
      Connections Tab
Manually sort out the issue or use the Connection Wizard.
