My Microsoft Wireless Desktop 1000 Mouse makes my screen jump when I scroll. I have installed the latest drivers for my Windows 8.1 system, but the problem persists. I’m ready to go back to a USB mouse. Any ideas or suggestions? In the alternative, any recommendations for a wireless keyboard and mouse that actually work?

Did you load the Mouse and keybord center? If so, go to “Customize wheel behavior” and set vertical scrolling to slow.

If not, go to Control Panel > Mouse.
      Click on the wheel tab
Reduce the number of lines at a time fro vertical scroll notch.

Are you sure it is the Mouse driver and not the video card?

Is your video card imbedded on the motherboard or a separate card? Do you have up-to-date video drivers?
