Word 2010 not spell checking Heading 1 Style text

…even though there is no check in the Do not check spelling or grammar box under Format>Language.

This is something I need to fix because my work reports have several Heading 1 headers and I can’t run the risk that words might be misspelled there.

Note that spell check is working as it should elsewhere in the document and that Grammar and Style is set in Proofing>Writing Style. Also, spell check is working in Heading 2, 3, and other headings styles.

Any ideas? Thanks.

It is possible that those paragraphs have previously been ‘ignored’ and Word remembers that.

If that doesn’t work, you might want to post a small sample of your file so we can check the settings for the Heading 1 paragraphs.
