• Wrong reply address (Outlook 2003 SP2)

    In WXP.
my preferred reply email address has always been shown to recipients of my emails, and when they click on “reply” the email has always been sent to my prefrered reply address.
About a week ago, this changed and my (rather long winded) ISP email address started to be shown.
I have checked through my Outlook Accounts, and the reply email address is still there, but even when I send a test email from Outlook Accounts set up, it sends top my ISP address.
What have I done wrong, please?
    Thanks
    Jim

Messages should be sent using the two textboxes under User Information — name and email address — with those values appearing in the From line on the receiving end. If you have those values set as you like them, perhaps there is some intermediate program that is rewriting your message. An antivirus or antispam proxy perhaps?

(Note: I am a bit behind on Outlook updates, apparently, so if this was caused by a recent one, I wouldn’t know about it.)
