WSUS Workflow for computer groups approval

I created a computer group in WSUS for testing.  How will the approval of updates be done as I have two groups of computers?  I am assuming that I will approve updates for the test group when updates come out on Patch Tuesday.  Then I would search updates for approved updates highlight all and approve for the main group (which contains the rest of my networked computers) re-approving them.  Is this correct or best workflow?

You can also set up a rule to auto approve security only (and only security updates) for your test group.

Thank you Susan.  I have installed the software you recommended and it shaved off 300 gigs of unused updates in 30 minutes.  I am waiting to see how the indexing performs.
