.xlr to excel 2007

I received a spreadsheet as an attachment with an .xlr extension. I cannot open it with Excel 2007. Any ideas?

Welcome to the lounge.

I understand that an .xlr extension indicates a Microsoft Works file. You could try changing the extension to .xls

Failing that, I think Open Office can open .xlr files.

Hi Rick.

All you have to do is find the spreadsheet file on your PC, right-click it and select “Open With” from the drop-down menu and select Excel 2007!
