Per a tweet from Paul Thurrott, the Download Windows 10 site is still offering version 1709. If you think you may need a copy of 1709 in the future, h

1803 is there now from the MS Windows 10 download page instead of 1709 (listed as April 2018 update) – just checked at 10:05am pacific local time

If standing pat on 1703, will such users be able to move directly to 1803 (or later) when that is stable?

        I’m sure that’s the plan.

I’m on 1703 for my production machines, too. We’re in the same boat.

Thank you for a timely reminder. I got caught by an automatic upgrade from 1703 to 1709 even though I have Pro and had set deferral options. Sadly it wrecked my computer and the only option was to reinstall. At which point I realised I had the 1607 ISO but not the 1703 one. The former was heading toward EOL and the latter was no longer available, so my only option was to install 1709. It worked fine, but it was a lesson. I’ll always download the new ISO, I might want it!

I believe you can use Windows ISO Downloader to download older versions of Windows 10 ISOs. Requires .NET Framework 4 or above.

Hope for the best. Prepare for the worst.

Hello all –  I have an HP laptop, 64 bit – windows 8.1 which was bought new and upgraded to Windows 10 home edition in Sep 2017.   The last successful update was 1709 in Jan. 2018. ( OS build 16299192.  It was KB4056892. Since that update the only thing updating is the security updates. The cumulative updates download and then I get a message to restart, then one that says failed to update. It loops until the next cumulative comes along and does the same. I’ve tried everything I’ve read or watched on a video.  I’m not very computer savvy so I don’t know the technical terms for what I need. The last Windows article I read says to download KB4089848 to repair. I did download it but have no idea how to get that to where it needs to be to actually update. The updater still contains the number it wants to update.
Thank you so much. Screen pic attached with whats on my updater now but it still loops.

So, Since v 1709 evidently can no longer readily be had from MS, does anyone know of a SAFE RELIABLE source elsewhere from where 1709 can be downloaded?

James Bond 007: What steps are entailed in downloading 1709 (requiring .NET Framework 4+)?

      Thanks to all . . .

I know a safe reliable source: MSDN Subscription. All versions of Windows 10 are available.

      I have w7 pro 32bit.

Can I change my 32bit for 64bit when I dl and install w10?

When you download the Media Creation Tool, I believe you can designate 32-bit or 64-bit.

You can install 32-bit Windows on a 64-bit machine, but the hardware has to be 64-bit to be able to install 64-bit Windows.
