just to clarify as I was in a hurry yesterday I had already tried all the steps you listed above other than the Tweaking.com with no change in the boot time.
Based on a google search I am a little Leary of using this program..

I have same problem since the anniversary update.
since the update(clean install) it takes several minutes to boot. I have tried everything I can think of but no change.
it runs great after it boots.

Have you checked the Canon site for updated drivers?

I don’t see your printer listed in the Microsoft Hardware Compatibility list for Windows 10…

      https://sysdev.microsoft.com/en-us/hardware/lpl/

yes I did and it doesn’t show any drivers for WIN10. the funny thing is that it works just fine on both computers with it plugged in via the usb cord.
thanks for the advice I will keep digging and if I find a solution I will post it.

You might try running the built-in Windows Troubleshooter.

I did try that it found no problems

I do not see anything obvious in the event log.
I feel like its something simple that I am overlooking I just cant figure it out.

      Bruce
I am on the RTM. I also looked around Edge and could not find anything. I was using the flash player home page to check my version.
I used the link you provided to install and now it shows version 19.
I was under the impression that this was a security patch not a upgrade to flash.

Has anyone checked the flash player version in IE11? On mine it still shows version 18 installed and it will not let me install version 19. The message says flash is imbedded in WIN10 and no need to update.
Chrome on the other hand shows version 19 installed.
I wonder if this could be part of the problem.

After using W10 for a month I also used the reset option. I have to say it worked great. it sure beats downloading the media and burning it to a DVD.
After reinstalling the back up I made my 5 year old desktop hasn’t worked this good since I first bought it.
