      Thanks Fred
I will wait and see if the Tech. Support come up with any solutions, and then maybe try the Macrium reflect.

      Hi BATcher
If I try to end the process, it gives me a warning that I could lose unsaved data, or result in an unstable system.
I have sent all the details to the technical support of EaseUs, and see what they can come up with.
I will advise you as soon as I receive a reply.
      Many thanks for your help

      Hi BATcher
      Thanks for the reply.
I have looked in the Task Manager>Processes and I can see the following;- TrayNotify.exe user 00 1588K EaseUsT and EuWatch. exe user 00 396K EaseUsT.
Might these two have anything to do with my problem?
      Thanks

Jerry many thanks for your reply. Being a pensioner, and living in South Africa the high exchange rate makes purchasing Arcronis very difficult.
If I had to start backing up fresh from today on say a blank hard drive would I still get the same problem?

      Regards
      Dave

Many thanks Ted and RG for your prompt and very helpful replies. Greatly appreciated. I also use LastPass and run Kaspersky 2011 anti virus.
I back up once a week as I also only use my PC for my own enjoyment.
      Once again many thanks
      Kind Regards

      Hi Fred
Please help. After doing Windows backup, should I be able to open and view the backup on my external hard drive? When I try I try I get the message “Internet Explorer cannot
display the web page” whatever that means? I also cannot view the files on the backup disc as it asks what programs i want to open the files with and then shows a list of
      different programs.
If my system crashed would I get all my data back from these backups?

My OS is Windows 7 Pro and running Firefox 6.0

      Regards
      Thanks
